The Open Door is a family owned and operated fine art gallery, restaurant and boutique venue. We are revered for creating memorable experiences that showcase beautiful art, food, wine and spirits, while providing genuine care and hospitality for our community, visitors and friends. Open Positions


CHEF/PREP POSITION
$16 - $25/hour + tips

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up workstations

  • Prepare recipes and cook dishes to business standards

  • Follow health and safety guidelines

  • Take inventory and place food orders

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven working experience as a cook (not mandatory but highly regarded)

  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils

  • Strong awareness & attention to detail

  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively

  • Desire to create and work closely with both back and front of house teams.

  • Multi-tasking, cleanliness & organization (maintained at high standards)

  • Be actively on feet for 6 hours/day and safely lift up to 45lbs

  • Exhibit a genuine interest to learn and grow within the company

Required Documents/Licenses: 

  1. Form of ID (drivers license or passport)

  2. Completed W-4

  3. Food Handlers Card

Scheduling: 

  1. Scheduling is done using Homebase

  2. We strive to build out the schedule 4 weeks in advance.

  3. Our goal is to provide you with a sustainable schedule that allows you to build a healthy work/life balance. 

  4. Vacation requests must be submitted 60 day in advance. The Open Door reserves the right to deny vacations requests during holidays and busy summer events. 

SERVER/BARTENDER/HOSTESS POSITIONS
Starting at $14.50/hour + tips

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Operating Square POS systems

  • Problem Solving Skills

  • Working & Respecting a team environment

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong awareness and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Multitasking

  • Excellent Time Management 

  • Creating  warm, friendly and helpful experiences with customers

  • Working independently as well as with a team

  • Actively on feet for 6 hours/day and safely lift up to 20lbs

  • Maintaining a positive attitude

  • Following direction & listening attentively

  • Adhering to policies and procedures

  • Being flexible within unpredictable Covid situations

  • Exhibits a genuine interest to learn and grow within company vision and core values
